Gift cards
Soooks stores can sell gift cards as products, send them to a recipient on a chosen date, issue them by hand, and accept them at checkout — with every card's balance and history tracked.
Selling gift cards
- Create a gift card product with up to 20 amounts and an expiry (none, 1, 3 or 5 years, or a set date).
- Sending as a gift: buyers can add the recipient's name and email, their own name, a message and the date to send it.
- Issued when paid: cards are created when the order is paid — for cash on delivery, when you mark it paid.
- The recipient's page shows the code, the remaining balance, the message and how to use it.
Issuing and managing
- Create a gift card by hand with a value, an expiry date, an optional customer and notes. The full code is shown once.
- Track every card: full, partly used, empty, expired or deactivated, with the outstanding balance and the value issued and redeemed.
- Resend the email, deactivate a card or create a replacement, and export the list.
At checkout
Customers enter up to three gift cards in the same field as a discount code. The unused balance stays on the card. Gift card payments carry no platform fee.
Limits
- Gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards.
- A card's balance cannot be topped up or reduced by hand.
