Acceptable Use Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to every store on Soooks and to everyone who operates one — owners, staff and collaborators. By creating an account you accept it; when it changes materially, you will be asked to accept the new version before continuing to use the admin.

Soooks is operated from Lebanon. Lebanese law applies to what may be sold here, in addition to the laws of any country you ship to.

2. Prohibited — never allowed

Listing, advertising or facilitating any of the following ends the store’s access, usually without notice:

• Narcotics and controlled substances (including Captagon, cannabis products, prescription-only medicines without a licence) and paraphernalia for producing or concealing them
• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, military equipment, and parts or instructions to make or convert them
• Human exploitation of any kind: trafficking, forced labour, the sale of people or human organs, and any sexual content involving minors
• Content that promotes terrorism, violence or hatred against people because of who they are, or memorabilia glorifying it
• Counterfeit goods, replicas presented as genuine, and anything infringing a trademark, copyright or patent
• Forged documents and currency: passports, identity cards, diplomas, licences, banknotes, cloned payment cards and stolen account credentials
• Stolen goods, and services to defeat device theft protection (IMEI changes, activation-lock bypass)
• Protected wildlife and products made from it (ivory, horn, skins, live protected animals)
• Gambling, betting and lottery products
• Pornography and sexual services
• Tools for fraud, hacking, covert surveillance of another person, signal jamming, or pirated software and subscriptions
• Investment schemes promising guaranteed or doubled returns, binary options, and unlicensed financial services

3. Restricted — allowed with conditions

These categories are legal to sell in Lebanon but regulated. You may list them if you hold the required licence, sell only to adults where the law requires it, and can show that on request. Soooks may ask for the licence before or after the store goes live.

• Alcohol
• Tobacco, shisha tobacco, vaping products and nicotine pouches
• Knives beyond ordinary kitchen and hobby use, airsoft and self-defence items such as pepper spray; stun guns and knuckle dusters are prohibited
• Dietary supplements and weight-loss products; anabolic steroids, sibutramine, DNP and SARMs are prohibited
• Injectable cosmetics (botulinum toxin, dermal fillers), insulin and other medicines that require a pharmacy or medical licence
• Fireworks
• Second-hand electronics and devices, which must not be locked to another owner’s account

4. How you may not use the platform

Beyond what you sell: do not mislead customers about what they are buying or when it ships, take payment with no intention to deliver, collect customer data for anything other than fulfilling their order and the marketing they opted into, send unsolicited bulk email, or interfere with the service or with other stores.

5. How Soooks reviews stores

Every product, collection, page and post is checked automatically against a dictionary of prohibited terms in English, Arabic and French when it is saved, and again every night. Public reports and our own checks add to that. Matches go to a person for review — automation never suspends a store on its own.

A store under review keeps trading and its owner is not necessarily contacted. If we find a problem we may, depending on severity: send a warning; unpublish the offending product (it cannot be republished until we lift the lock); restrict the storefront, which shows shoppers a “temporarily unavailable” page while the owner keeps admin access; or suspend the store, which takes it offline. We say why in every case, in the admin and by email, and every action is recorded.

You can appeal any action by replying to the notice or writing to support@soooks.com. Where a card-payment provider is connected, its own prohibited-category rules apply as well and may be stricter than this list.

6. Reporting a store

Anyone can report a store from the “Report this store” page at /report on that store’s own address, or at soooks.com/report. Reports go to the Soooks Trust & Safety team, never to the merchant, and we review every one. Your email address is optional and only used if we need more detail.

7. Changes to this policy

We update this policy as the law and the platform change. The version and date are shown at the top; merchants accept the current version at sign-up and re-accept in the admin when it changes.
