Barcode (GTIN, EAN, UPC)
A barcode is a scannable number on a product's packaging. Global ones (GTIN, EAN or UPC) identify the same product in every store that sells it.
Unlike a SKU, which is your own code, a GTIN is the same everywhere: it is assigned by the brand that makes the product. Search engines and marketplaces use it to match listings of the same item.
