Canonical URL
A canonical URL is the one address a site tells search engines to treat as the main version of a page that can be reached at several addresses.
The same product can often be reached in several ways — with tracking parameters, through a collection, with a different sort order. The canonical tag tells search engines which address to show and to give credit to, so the versions do not compete with each other.

Store pages set their canonical address automatically, and sorted or filtered views are kept out of search results.
