301 redirect
A 301 redirect permanently sends visitors and search engines from an old web address to a new one.
Use a 301 when a page moves for good — a product renamed, a collection merged, a site moved from another platform. Search engines pass the old address's standing on to the new one, and old links keep working.
In Soooks
When you change the address of a product, collection, page, blog or blog post, a 301 redirect from the old address is created automatically. You can also add redirects yourself for addresses from an old site.
