Custom domains with automatic SSL
Every Soooks store gets a free address on soooks.com from the start, and you can connect a domain you own at any time: add the DNS records Soooks shows you, verify, and the security certificate (SSL) is set up automatically.
How it works
- Open Settings → Domains and choose "Connect existing domain".
- Enter your domain and add the records shown — an A record for the root domain, a CNAME for www, and a TXT record that proves the domain is yours — at the company where you bought it.
- Verify the domain. Once verified, SSL is provisioned automatically.
- Set it as primary. Your other addresses, including the free soooks.com one, then redirect to it, so search engines see one address for your store.
What to know
- Custom domains are available on every plan, with no limit on how many you connect.
- You keep your free soooks.com address as well; once your own domain is primary, it redirects there.
- DNS changes can take from a few minutes to a few hours to reach everyone. Verify again if the first check does not find the records.
- Use the same domain everywhere you share links — social profiles, emails, packaging — so customers and search engines see one address.
Before you connect
- Buy the domain from a domain registrar, if you do not own one yet.
- Make sure you can sign in to the place that manages its DNS records (often the same registrar).
- If the domain already points at an old website, plan the switch: once the records change, visitors reach your Soooks store.
Limits
- Soooks does not sell domains or host email; buy the domain from a domain registrar and keep your email with your email provider.
